May 15 2007 A 125' (or 38m) tall douglas fir (48" or 121cm at its but) had to be taken down this morning. The tree was damaged in a windsturm in early January 2007 and was in danger of not surviving any other heavy winds. Locals and visitors will miss this giant.

Hope is the Vacationers dream with it's parks, campgrounds, golf course, river, mountains, and places such as Hell's Gate near by. It is a great place year round foroutdoor activities. You can fish, hike, mountain bike, ski, go gold panning, rock climbing, hang gliding, golfing, and white-water rafting.
